LingoBlend

Save vocabulary from any website

The LingoBlend browser extension puts your dictionary one right-click away. Save any word from a page in your target language, and it lands translated, filed, and waiting on your phone.

Every saved word becomes something you review

A word you save from your browser doesn't just sit in a list. It syncs to the LingoBlend app on iOS and Android, where it enters an Anki-style spaced repetition schedule. New words come back at 10 minutes, an hour, then eight hours, graduating out to 1, 3, 7, 14, 30, 60, and 120 days as you keep getting them right.

From there, every word is fair game for the five practice games: flashcards with recall and recognition modes, matching, fill in the blank, listening, and word quiz. You can attach an image and a personal memory trick to each entry and hear natural pronunciation audio. The extension handles capture. The app handles the part where the word actually sticks.

Grab words from any app on your phone

The same idea works away from your desk. On iOS and Android, select text in any app — a news reader, an ebook, a chat, a social feed — tap Share, and choose LingoBlend. The word is translated and saved to the same dictionary, with no copy-paste dance between apps. When you save an inflected or conjugated form, LingoBlend recognizes it and offers the base form instead, so "escogido" can go in as "escoger."

Reading off-screen? Scan a menu, a street sign, or a book page with photo OCR to pull words straight into your dictionary. You can also bulk-import a CSV, plain-text, or Anki list, or start from 800 pre-built word packs across 25 categories. However you meet a word, there is a way to keep it.

The words you collect feed the rest of LingoBlend

Everything you save flows back into how you read and practice. Smart Blend takes any article or URL and mixes your target language into it at a percentage you set with a slider, so familiar saved words start surfacing inside real text — a modern take on the diglot weave technique (Burling, 1968). Across 17 languages and 272 learning pairs, the words you gather translate into reading you can actually follow.

The Pro-only Word Story game goes a step further: it writes a short story from your own saved words, narrates it aloud, then asks five comprehension questions. A word you clipped from a webpage on Monday becomes the story you read on Friday. Capture in context, review on a schedule, and see the same vocabulary again where it matters.
